Ideas Manifestadas (2013)

Level Designer – UI Designer – Programmer

Construct 2

This game was born at a Game Jam Workshop in 2013. Originally designed for mobile devices, and developed by a team of two, we created a runner-visual novel hybrid with puzzle mechanics.

I worked on the level design, allowing the player to stop time and create a series of platforms to complete challenges. The UI design process was meticulously crafted in an anime style, inspired by Otome games.

I also created a PC version for testing, which is still available today: Ideas Manifestadas

Alpha Defender Z-1 (2015)

This personal project was inspired by the classic puzzle game Arkanoid by Taito for old arcade machines.

I focused on enhancing the game feel, with the level design and UI crafted to support that experience. The original version featured a full arcade-style sci-fi story, but I wanted to introduce elements of fear, depicting space and another civilization oppressing humanity. This version was initially planned for mobile devices with a 2016 launch.

I also created a PC version for testing, which still exists today: Alpha Defender Z-1 App

Ratoncitos Dulces Sueños (2017)

A mobile advertising game app created to promote rag dolls shaped like mice, branded by Cencosud. This AR game app allowed users to dress up as a mouse family and take pictures to share on other platforms.

I worked on UI integration within the Unity Engine and programmed several features for the project.

Desafío Reebok (2018)

UI Integration

Unity Engine

A mobile advertising game created for the Reebok brand to offer significant discounts on Reebok products. This was a 2.5D AR game where the main mechanic involved using the mobile camera as a crosshair to capture products coming towards the player within a limited time.

I worked on the UI integration and functionality in Unity Engine during my time at Hexentic Games.

Cachai Trivia (2020)

Construct 3

A responsive mobile math trivia game designed for high school students. The game featured profile selection, skins, database connection, and other unique features intended to provide long-term engagement.

I worked on UI implementation, level design, and programming.

Youvi Mall (2022)

UI Design – Level Design – DB Implementation

Unity Engine

This was an online virtual Chinese mall created when I became fully employed at nexArtVR. It was a mobile VR cardboard game built in Unity Engine, where users could walk around the mall and purchase products from the stores.

I was responsible for creating the entire level design, environment lighting, UI design, and database implementation.

Enfermeria VR (IPLACEX 2022)

UI Design and Implementation, Optimization Programming, Addressables Integration, Level Design

Unity Engine

This is an educational nursing game for mobile devices, linked to a web platform for institutional students. It includes tests on various topics with online result tracking.

I worked on implementing new UI features such as camera views, a sound manager, and the Addressables system for Unity scenes to facilitate the addition of new content as needed. I also designed UI icons for missing features, developed level design for two new stages, optimized code, and enhanced procedural scene optimization to ensure every component functions effectively across all necessary stages.

 

Educational Game Prototype (INACAP 2022 Canceled)

Educational mobile game for a educational purposes system focused on technical careers. This game was canceled by the client.

I worked as a Technical Game Designer, UI Integrator, Feature Programmer, Level Designer, and also created some 3D models.

Hidden Object Game (2023)

This is a mobile and PC escape room game for an educational project.

I was responsible for creating the visual style and direction of the game, UI art design, and all necessary visual elements, as well as the level design.

Elemental Wizards TCG (EGS 2023)

Art Director, UI Artist – Designer – Implementation, Level Design

This is the first AI generative game we implemented. Most of the visual assets and other elements were created with MidJourney in September 2023. Designed as a multi-platform game, we released versions for iOS, PC, and mobile (mobile version only for testing). We completed it in three weeks of intense work before Unity’s policy change at that time.

I was responsible for the entire visual direction of the game, serving as Art Director, Designer, UI Artist, and handling level design for the Mage’s battle, card design, and all in-game panels. Some icons and creatures were sourced from the asset store. We utilized MidJourney in a way only possible with the latest updates of the AI.

This is a personal mobile project featuring a procedural level designed for short, enjoyable play sessions while traveling. Currently, it includes only the basic game concept of a clicker game, but plans are in place to add additional features such as user profiles, skins, leaderboards, and more.

As a freelancer, I have worked on developing various applications for different devices such as PC, VR, and alternative gaming devices, with VR development being my primary focus. All development is done in Unity Engine.

Ether Game Studios (Sept 2023 – Nov 2023)

Art Director, UI Designer, Concept Artist

UI Designer and Art Concept Creator, using Midjourney to develop visual images and UI for the Elemental Wizards TCG game, which was published on the Epic Store and iOS. A friend and I teamed up to create an educational project that we liked so much that we decided to release it on IndieDB and Epic Games. For this purpose, we decided to create a provisional brand to represent ourselves as a team. The project was Elemental Wizards TCG, which took us 3 months to develop, from the initial creation to a functional version. While it is true that it lacks visual feedback, the game is fully functional and features a procedural level typical of this type of game, making it very entertaining and addictive until you complete all the decks.
